Looking for new stories? - Then look at this:
Yes, we have some truly grand stories here this August, about the nobles and heroes of Middle-earth. But we can also offer wonderfully entertaining stories that deal with less august characters of Tolkien's world, who bring Middle-earth to life from the perspective of the lowborn and even the dishonourable instead...
If you are just a casual visitor of the site, check out the newest stories in the Public Archive and the latest published Challenge:
- "Paper" by Dawn Felagund:
Curufin, fifth son of Feanor, escapes to the realms of fantasy to escape the pressures of his family and discovers the thrill of first love.
- "Many Guises and Many Names" by Gandalfs_apprentice:
This collection of drabbles and short pieces focuses on Aragorn, the people who knew him, and/or the significance of his life. Some are funny, some are sad; some deal with great events, some are family portraits...
- "Where Love Is" by toastedcheese:
Arwen revisits Imladris's oldest library and discovers an aging manuscript testifying to forgotten love. Maedhros/Fingon.
And don't forget to let the authors know if you enjoyed their stories! If you are a member of the HASA Readers Club that's really easy: you can simply leave a comment!
More stories, august or more down to earth can be found among the published Challenges: Take a look at the "New Members Challenge" and read what some of our new members have to contribute to our August Reading 2006!
- "Of Pipeweed" by Alariel Silverstar:
This is about Merry and Pippin and What they find in the Flotsam and Jetsam of Isengard.
- "Of Cliffs and Kin" by Evils Hero:
