It is written in the Tale of Years that Saruman attended Fréalaf's crowning and brought with him gifts. What were they and why did Saruman choose them? Alternately, what prompted him to attend (let alone give gifts) in the first place?

One of the Dwarves having to teach Bilbo to make bird calls after the disastrous "roast mutton" incident
The thoughts of one of the hobbit archers who defended Fornost against the Witch-king, or of one of the wives they left behind

Someone visits Eomer while he's imprisoned in Edoras
The thoughts of the person/people lighting one of the beacons of Gondor
The first meeting of Tarannon and Berúthiel and her cats
Write of the sending of the Silmaril to Dior (this would be upon the occasion of Beren's and Lúthien's deaths).
The thoughts of a slave from Mordor released after the war
Bilbo returns to Bag-End to find his effects being auctioned off.
The beginning of excavating either the Great Smials or Brandy Hall
Why Tulkas is called "Tulkas who Laughs"
The reflections of the sons of Merry & Pippin watching them leave for Gondor for the last time
