[Contributor's note: Although the exact time frame is not given, Aragorn in disguise must have spent several years in Rohan prior to moving on to Gondor. Since he was well-received by Ecthelion, one can surmise that he had been in Rohan long enough in the 2960's-early 2970's to go with knowledgable recommendations from Thengel. What contributions he made to Thengel while serving within the ranks in Rohan is unknown.]
