Discussing: Quick A-S translation question

Quick A-S translation question

Can any Anglo-Saxon speakers tell me how to give the command "Go!" or failing that, "Run!" or "Gallop!" (it's to a horse!) in A-S? Cheers, Az

Re: Quick A-S translation question

Go! = Gan! Run! = Iornan! To the best of my knowledge. Karri

Re: Quick A-S translation question

Thanks Karri - is that singular or plural? (It's the singular I need, sorry, should have specified...) Az

Re: Quick A-S translation question

They are both singular. Da wildan hors scealden iornan. = The wild horse should run. Gan, fader. = Go, father.
