Hedge and Bridge

In which an axe is named, Sara's ribs are mentioned, salt is pondered, and the history of the Dwarves and the Elves is recounted.
Lots of Dalin, and a short story inside the story as Dalin talks about Durin's Road. Hobbits have a hard time with history.

This is one of my favorite chapters. Dalin lets you tell so much about cultural differences! From him telling Frodo why the Shire is so special, to what Gilda asked that made him uncomfortable, and a grudge can last longer than forever
when some who did the deeds still live.
I had fun reading this again.
