Middle-earth Mother Goose...

See the text of the challenge here.

Come talk about your ideas, stories, poems, and rag-tag bits of rhyme (my favorites--short and sweet!) here. This Challenge closes on August 17th, 2003.

Re: Middle-earth Mother Goose...

Goodnight, goodnight!
Let not bed-bugs bite!
Now Mother and Father
shall tuck you in tight!

What was that rumble?
Don't worry your head!
Tis but a Nuzgul--
hiding under your bed!

Will the real Mother Goose please stand up? This is a great example!

Re: Middle-earth Mother Goose...

Thanks Nessime!

Yea, that was me. I wrote it while I was trying to come up with a description of the challenge.

Talk to you soon. I got your e-mail. Will return one later.

Re: Middle-earth Mother Goose...

Shine, shine bright Silmarils
How I long to hold you close
Up atop his crown you shine
Like stars in the darkened night
Shine bright Silmarils shine
How I long to hold you close

-Original-
Twinkle, twinkle little stars
How I wonder what you are
Up above the sky to high
Like the diamond in the sky
Twinkle, twinkle little start
How I wonder what you are

and

Beren be nimble
Beren be quick
Beren jumps on Curufin

-Original-
Jack be nimble
Jack be quick
Jack jumps over the candlestick
