Minas Tirith, TA 2981. When Finduilas of Dol Amroth accompanies her husband to a state function, she does not expect it to be followed by murder--and an impossible murder at that. When the Mistress of one of the Houses of Lore asks Steward Ecthelion for a discreet and, above all, scandal-free investigation, Finduilas and Denethor decide to look into the goings-on at Laurelin House and soon find themselves in a web of death and deceit. Mystery gen with a small dash of Denethor/Finduilas.
