Under the Influence: 2. Author's Notes
The first drabble was written on LiveJournal, by request.
First, I said, generally, "Friends, request a Tolkien drabble (with some limitations), and I'll write it for you."
Well, Aeneid and EdorasLass let their requests get out of hand. Here, I'll show you, almost verbatim, the relavent comments:
EdorasLass: Wheeeeeeeeee!
Um..um..um....
Imrahil? Is that doable?
...because I heart him.
Me: I heart him too. So yep, that's doable.
Aeneid: Can I second EdorassLass's Imrahil request - but instead of a drabble, could I have a really long, complex epic? Make it a love story! And make Imrahil have poor drinking habits!
EdorasLass: Yes! And have lots of whoring with tragically infatuated red-haired girls! And maybe some pirating!
Aeneid: Hear, hear! But not redhead - she must be blond and clever! Maybe Imrahil can find baby Boromir on an island, thus throwing into question the whole Steward's Heir issue... until everything's hushed up when Denethor sees Faramir is such a little wimp.
EdorasLass: Look, can't there be a red-head AND a blonde? Cause you gotta have a red-head- a sassy,clever red-head!
What do you mean, that smells of Mary Sue?! I am shocked, shocked! that you would suggest such a thing!
And that's pretty much the whole conversation. I think I succeeded in weaving in, er... most of the elements...
