This is one of my favorite pieces of Tolkien fanfiction, if not my favorite. I really like how human your humans are, which I consider one of my highest compliments. I was glad to see it is on Henneth Annun. I'm looking forward to seeing your next story. What happens to Dairuin? Does he become one of the "Shire ruffians" that serve Sharkey not long before his final demise? On that note, I think you could have made Dairuin somewhat more gleefully rapacious while still keeping him on this side of sympathetic, if your goal is to see how much Orc you can give a character while still keeping him/her "good."
