Story Summary
A gap-filler ficlet set on the banks of the Nimrodel, after the fellowship has escaped from Moria. Frodo plays peacemaker, and Legolas and Gimli are probably a little out of character.

I already enjoyed this story when you posted it in the MC group and could not resist reading it again. I like the idea that Frodo's memories of what Bilbo told him of the dwarves and their imprisonment by Thranduil helped/convinced Gimli to 'bury the hatchet'.
"In the elf's head, you mean?" he asked hopefully.
LOL! I'm glad Legolas accepted the peace offering, otherwise the Fellowship might have lost one member that day. *g*
