The story is beautiful, belivable and the characters are in character. I hope what I say about it helps you, so you will write more, because you sure helped me understand things and soothed my heart. It made me cry and smile and I will be thinking about your story a long time, now, that you opened the windows.

What a wonderful look at a fairly overlooked character in the Tolkien pantheon. Your characterizations were excellent given what little 'personality' information we have for most of the characters. I thought Caranthir's death was particularly poignant...his own terrible oath turns the woman he loves into his slayer.
