I am almost too stunned by your Imrahil (Gah! What did you DO to my favorite guy??) to leave a coherent review, but this is a very, very well-written AU. You have managed to turn my usual reactions to the characters completely topsy-turvey: utter pity for poor Denethor, and a snarling GRRR for Finduilas and Imrahil - and that last one is particularly an accomplishment! The ending brings up all sorts of thoughts about what Gondor will now look like when the King returns...
