Wow! A very interesting and eye-opening little piece. Striking and revealing glimpse into Smeagol's boyhood and excellent foreshadowing of the creature he would become. And he's already just a bit slimey

Thanks so much, I'm blushing! I'm glad you believe this character would turn into Gollum. I also wanted to give him some extra parallels to Frodo--i.e., having parents who drowned.
