Story Summary

Tolkien tells us in the Tale of Years that Aragorn and Gandalf met in 2956, when Aragorn was 25 years old, but he does not tell us how it happened. Maybe the real story was not solemn enough for the official annals of the history of Middle-earth.

It might not be a weighty meeting, but it sounds true to Gandalf and Aragorn. I can imagine them meeting like this.
