Story Summary
We've heard one version of what happened to a certain wizard from Sept 18 to Oct 20, IIIrd Age Year 3018, but as Gandalf said "I have lengthened my tale overlong; the rest must be brief." His side of the story takes about 2 and a half pages, but what might some others who were there have to say? Here are some tales of those days, told by eyewitnesses to the events... and an exercise in writing in different voices. Ch 11 recently edited slightly to adhere more closely to canon in reporting on Elrond's knowledge of the One Ring, and to portray Gandalf as more like his usual crotchedy self.
