Story Summary
A story of two sons of Feanor, Maedhros and Curufin.
The circlet of copper usually worn by Maedhros in Valinor was not crafted by his grandfather Mahtan, but by his younger brother Curufin, and of course it was a work of art, but that was not the only reason Maedhros wore it. This story recounts the circumstances of its making and how, in the early days of the settlement of East Beleriand, Curufin offered to make a second one and why. There is a brief glimpse of Celebrimbor and some foreshadowing of later events.
Not a newly-written story, but posted on HASA for Maeglin's birthday, as he said he would like to see stories about Curufin in Valinor.
The story was nominated for the MEFAs 2010 by Hallbera.
Warning: themes include physical disablement, dysfunctional family relations and (Beleriandic) politics

How did I ever miss this story? What a wonderfully drawn picture of Nelyo and Curvo - and of Maedhros and Curufin, too. And the way they interact, so real. Very nicely done!
