Is my dimple elven?
Or does it make me
One of the Men?
I confess I have not seen
Dimples on an elf
Only on myself.
I have asked my mother
If the dimple on my chin
Was inherited from my father.
I posed my question to Elrond
For his advice on this matter
He said of me he was very fond.
Again I put the question:
Is my dimple elven
Or only found on the men?
The answer I have found
(of which I am quite proud):
It is a mannish trait.
Or does it make me
One of the Men?
