LOTR - Creatures a

Darkness over the land
Chaos, mayhem, destruction
The flap of swift dark wings

The call of the pack
Silver, brown, ebony pelts
Racing under the moon

Delicate spinners
Webs sparkling with bright dewdrops
Dancing on the wind

The glint of an eye
Hoarded treasures piled for sleep
Pierced by arrows

A bite and swift sting
Shimmering wings caught by light
Catching the unwary

Weeding the garden
Heavy boot steps trampling
Burrowing earthworms

A bright bushy tail
Sniffing around the hen house
Sharp eyes and white teeth

Sleek powerful wings
Nibbling at the ripest grain
Harsh caws floating by

The cold of the downs
Sending fear into all hearts
Dispelled by sweet songs

The crackling of a whip
Cloaked by darkness and shadow
Bursting into flame

Giggling and flirting
The click of stiletto heels
Scurrying in terror
