9. Her Father's Daughter

"What do I do?"

 Mirabella blinks.

 "What do you do?"

Belladonna bursts into tears, and Mirabella has no words for her; all she can do is wrap her in a hug.

Words do come though, in the end.

 "Now it's your turn."

 Belladonna sniffs, wipes away tears.

"What if I get it wrong, though?"

 Mirabella smiles.

"You won't. You are your father's daughter, after all."

The ghost of a smile flickers across Belladonna's face.

 "I am, aren't I?"

Mirabella nods and they hug again.

Things change, people die, the world turns…

 …but sisters are always sisters.

 Now and for always…
