This was well done. It begs the question - who is the one making the mistake here? Anaire holds to her principles even at the cost of losing her family, while Fingolfin will follow his family at the cost of losing his wife and - well, we know what else happens to him later. But what does Anaire gain from her decision? And why does Fingolfin not answer her main question with "Do you love me enough to take the journey with me?" Guess the answer is a mutual 'no'. Thus the vengeance of the Valar upon the Noldor begins - by breaking their families. Thanks for writing.
