King's Commission, The

I sit here having finally completed all of the chapters of this marvelous fourth age tale, and cannot stop smiling, even as my eyes want to tear up.
I don't know what made me choose to read this tale, but it is one of the best character studies of Frodo Baggins through the eyes of other characters I have ever read, and I truly love the original character of Ruvimer, the Master Sculptor. It is apparent that much thought and care went into the weaving of this tale, and I hated having to shut down the computer at bedtime over the four days it took me to read it.
The lands of Gondor, Rohan, Anorien and the Shire came alive for me, as did their inhabitants. Excellent storytelling, wonderful character and plot development, and an epilogue that touched my heart. Thank you!
