I was so happy to see this chapter.  I think I completely missed this update and I quite love this story.

You continue to do a great job portraying the Steward-family relationships.  I enjoy your take on Boromir which is very true to character.

I am also impressed by how you are showing Denethor's slow wearing away under the wait of the palentir - his conversation with Faramir where he swtiched between steady/competent and ... slightly off was an interesting way of showing the future.  Incidentally I really like the little foreshadowing lines you throw in.  When Denethor though "I will go mad," or Boromir said that Faramir was fit to be the prince, I got little chills.  Can't wait for more.

Thanks, Rugi, for the kind comments. Writing Denethor is a challenge - writing a Denethor who is believable, human, and not the wicked witch of the west, is awesome!

Fallen totally in love with the man, totally in love with his family, and totally afraid of where this is leading....

Thanks for reading and especially responding!
