What a marvelous effort. You've made me love each and every member of this fascinating and complex family. Fëanor is, as he should be, larger than life--the most learned and beautiful of his people. Yet each individual family member is carefully crafted and fully realized. The family dynamics ring completely true and convincing. I completely believe the relationship between Fëanor and Nerdanel—the arguing, fighting, and the making up (all with the kids listening in!). Thanks so much for the Quenya name translations—huge help. (Although, after reading this, I will never need them again. Thanks to your beautiful work, I feel I really know this family.)
