Ch. 18: The Golden Hall of Edoras
Of course there is a 'Hilda.' The suspected parentage of her baby will provide the glitches that dwarf Imrahil's rather feeble objections to the Eomer/Lothiriel match. The agricultural details given early in this chapter are very well thought out. This tale definitely grows in the telling.

Thanks for commenting on the story, Bardess. I appreciate that the state in which they found Rohan worked for you--to tell the truth, I made it up. Didn't do as careful research as I often do. I've seen authors paint it even more bleak. But this is happy story! Re how much trouble Eomer is in: I usually splatter spoilers all over the place (in emails, responses to comments, story forum, etc.). Maybe I won't this time...
