I love this story. It perfectly illustrates the difficulties I've always had with a within Middle-earth interpretation of LaCE. And it's a little wicked - absolutely delicious.
My favourite line: '"What, they lie to us, so you tell half-truths to them?" Aranwë said.'
Elves are much more interesting when they are not portrayed as a kind of angels or saints!
