Ch. 13: The Taste of the Enemy
Another well-woven chapter, full of rich details and very believable explanations for the twin tragedies of the Kin-Strife and the plagues of Gondor... and the actions (intended and unintended--or perhaps careful and careless would be a better way to put it) behind the scenes of a couple of wizards. I'm totally hooked.
