The Old Ways

Oh goodness gracious, how is it I missed this jewel? Gosh, Glorfindel, Fingon, Ereinion... it just is too wonderful for you not to have written a chapter in three years. *weeps*
Gosh, Fingon seems even more subtly layered than he did before and Glorfindel, my poor little Glorfindel turned out exactly how I thought he would. You have a wonderful understanding of human nature and I like how although your characters are generally... well, I would say selfish and indulgent they are very human, so very deeply layered. Reading one of your tales is like trying to solve a Rubik cube, you know? You have to anticipate the next movement, and try to visualize the whole picture, but sometimes something you hadn't quite thought out works and it gives you unexpected results.
This is magnificent, and I would dearly love if you update it, some day, it doesn't matter when.

You weren't yanking my chain! I've just read the first chapter Poignant human (Eldar) moments. Elrond and Elros as believable children. This is sublime!

Ch. 4: The Malachite Leaf, and Other Subtleties
This story works on so many levels. It's funny, sad, wicked, and moving. I love Elrond's voice. I had read bits and pieces of it in the past, but just read everything here altogether. It is definitely greater than the sum of its parts. I knew you could really write, and this story reinforces that fact for me. Love the reflection here of the entire complicated history you have created for Glorfindel, Fingon, et al. throughout this story arc. (Sorry, excuse the gushing and clichés--I do have good taste in writing though!)
