Hee! So *that* explains it. I love the idea of a child-Aragorn tormenting Rivendell, and this had such a great energy to it, it was very fun to read and over before I knew it. And Elrond's obsessive looking over his library was a lot of fun, too.

Ch. 1: A Fateful Beginning

This was amusing! My favorite bits were Elrond's bet with Glorfindel (nice foreshadowing, too), Aragorn's "Who is this Estel of whom you speak?" and Glorfindel's line at the end. I don't think I've seen anything like this before; very nice.

Thanks for reviewing, everyone. After reading The Children of Hurin, I couldn't help but make a connection with Aragorn, and as I'm sure Aragorn read all the "action" stories in the Sil as a child...well, this was the result. Glad you all liked it! Grin
