Thanks for your comments! I'm glad you enjoyed "Cuts Gone Wrong". Pelhar exemplifies, I think, one reason why Elves are so reluctant to give advice. ;-)
And I prefer Strider to Mudclumper. That name would really have been too much
Ranger names are fun to play with. There's nothing like the possibility of some truly hideous moniker to make someone appreciate the not-terribly-flattering name he already has. ;-)

not know before - gap fillers. For example, this story showed us some of Ranger
operations. Tolkien said almost nothing about their daily operations. Dwim tells
us about the stations, why they were located as they were, duty rotations - all
very interesting stuff. Of course the emotional education was just as important
as the military skills, and the story showed this in a nice tight narrative. I think Aragron was portrayed as a little too sensitive but that is just a personal preference and not a criticism of the story craft. Oh, and I loved the names. I have a thing about names. Nice job on Cuts Gone Wrong.
