This somehow rings very true for me, that elves released from Mandos might take quite some time to regain their spiritual and emotional strength and perhaps even their memories even if their new bodies are healthy. It would be extremely frightening to be released into a world full of people that you should know, but don't, and you really captured fear and uncertainty in Finrod and love and determination in Amarie really well. I liked this very much!

Thank you, SurgicalSteel, for reading and commenting. I'm glad to hear the idea of Elves being 'dazed and confused' following release from Mandos works for you. I can't imagine they'd return from death perfectly fit and ready to go on with their lives. There needs to be a period of adjustment: learning to live again and then coping with the burden of past memories. The transition period would have been difficult for everyone involved.
