Ah - good stuff.
I want to take all three elves, and Aragorn, and hug them tightly. Well, perhaps not too tightly for Legolas, due to his injury.
Poor Elrohir, in particular - such dark guilt.

So, now we come to the heart of Elrohir's damage. Very, very dark indeed, and I wonder how it can ever be healed...
Leavened nicely with some lovely Legolas/Gimli humour, and I did enjoy Glorfindel's description of Wood-Elves;
Glorfindel had snorted. 'When you've seen a Woodelf gut an Orc without a second glance, you know they aren't listening to flowers. And they can shoot a bat's eye in the dark.'

It's a hideous shame that he didn't (or couldn't) get help for this earlier. 500 years is too effing long to let your psyche warp like this.
Though even when it first happened, and even knowing the wisdom of what Glorfindel had said about feelings in battle - those are *feelings*, which one would assume Glorfindel also told him need to be mastered. I'm pretty disturbed that he allowed himself to lose himself so badly in the first place. What would he have done if it *had* been "some female Orc or some creature corrupted by darkness and Shadow?"
