The Sons of Thunder

So wonderful to see another chapter in this, Ziggy. I'm delighted that Legolas is at least well enough to think he can accompany the army to the Black Gate. He'll have a chance to continue his recovery on the road, and having his friends around him will also help.
I know how it can be - writing many drafts and finally coming across with one that actually works. It is far from easy, but you managed well with this chapter. And, of course, I will happily await the next one

Yea! First Pippin and now Gimli as well... I wonder what kind of hell thy'll have to endure, once Legolas remembers what realy happend -- smirk--
Thanks for the new chapter -- good luck for RL -- and a continuing good muse.

I am always happy to see a new chapter. I really like your portrayal of Legolas here - knowing some things, trying to make sense of others, catching at memories that are just out of reach, not knowing quite what is real and what is not...
The portrayals of both Gimli and Aragorn, when confronted with/by Legolas, are very good too.
Well worth the attempts and re-writes, I would say.

Ah, finally caught up with the latest excellent chapter. Wonderful characterizations, spot-on, and devilishly dashing, flirts with anything that breathes Legolas ... He's BAACKK! Thanks! A

So tantalisingly nearly our Legolas back, and yet not quite, or only in flashes. I love the moment when he teases Gimli about his, and Pippin's, exaggerations of their feats. And the description of Legolas listening to the song of the Mountain, a single deep note, like a heavy bronze bell … the stroke of a drop of water across a mirror of water, is lovely.
I can feel Legolas' frustration at being only half himself - I want him all back too!
