Thanks for the background story, as horrible as it is. In every age, in every world, imaginary or otherwise, I suppose, these mortal woes seemed doomed to recur -- domestic abuse, substance addiction, intimidation and bullying, uncontrolled rage, conspiracy theories, mob mentality and institutionalized prejudice. Sigh.Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. I do appreciate your desire to put things to rights, for once.

Thanks for a gripping and enjoyable tale.
