Ah yes, who hasn't wished for the advice of a wise mother in matters of the heart? And what a mother Belladonna must have been! Poor Bilbo -- even without his Adventure, having Belladonna Took as his mother probably spoiled his chances of finding a suitable female companion forever! For doesn't every (heterosexual) man want, after all, to marry Mummy?
