The King's Time
Ch. 1: The King's Time

Oh.  Not what I was expecting.  But quite wonderful in a bittersweet way.

And hints of other stories, some told, some not yet.

 Thank you.

Urgh, ick!

I like the finger foreshadowing-not.

With Hope and Without Hope
Ch. 1: Decision

Hah!  I just read and reviewed this story elsewhere!  Well, I will repeat, I really look forward to seeing what happens next.  Great characterizations all around, and very suspenseful.  This is already an excellent AU but very much in keeping with Tolkien's characters and style.

Last Grey Ship, The
General Comment

I found these 3 chapters to move in sync with the way Tolkien wrote The Lord of the Ring. It gave a bitter-sweet look into what could have happened after the Ending of LOTR. As i read tear flowed freely down my face and I had a deep ache in my heart as if i was the one losing the friends. It ached even more as Gimli and Legolas talk of their own parting of ways and I cried even harder. At the end my heart smiled and i was at peace.

Awesome story!! A true inspiration from above. A divine gift. A complement and extention of Tolkiens Lord of the Ring!

I look forward to reading more of your works!!!

Lost Out Of Time II : The Coming Together
Ch. 20: Conversations

Thanks Virtuelle,

You are right, I do like to weave a good tale and I like to write with as much descriptive detail as possible. The worlds I set my stories in are pretty clear in my mind and I like to share them with my readers so they can visualize them as well.

Sorry about the delay in acknowledging your comment. I have discovered there is no way in doing so with a personal thankyou!

Lost Out Of Time II : The Coming Together
Ch. 33: Where Is The Future Leading?

Virtuelle, Glad you felt the desire to continue with your reading of the story. I appreciate it when folks take the time to leave comments. I try to answer them all usually with a private thankyou, but never could figure out how to do that here.

Thanks Ecan2

I am glad you like the story. It is developing into one of my personal favorites although right now RL is putting something of a crimp in my writing time.

Thank you so, Lialathuveril and Wolfwind.  It was fun to find a way to adapt another poetic form to the world of Arda!

Oh, this is really good. I love how you adapted the old children's rhyme to Middle Earth.

This is awesome, Larner!  I had to read it aloud; the rhythm was just so much fun.  I love how you melded the sing-song children's rhyme with such poignant thoughts.  I had assumed that it would culminate with the destruction of the ring - I loved the last stanza, with the much more Tolkienesque ending.  Thank you for sharing.

Gilnar, nice to see you continuing with this story,  I find it very enchanting and well developed. I have been following it since last year.  Thank you for such descriptive writing, it lets you feel like your right there. Looking forward to the next chapters.

Thanks so much, Kitt!  I found "The House that Jack Built," "All for the Want of a Horseshoe Nail," "Green Grow the Rushes," and "The Twelve Days of Christmas" going through my head one day, and this was what came out when I started writing on it.  It went through three major revisions before I was through, I found.  I'm glad it worked for you!

I am so glad this got through! I had to reread it. Now it is stuck in my head and I am not complaining. Wink

Deliverance
General Comment

Multi-layered, poignant and fascinating glimpse into a lost corner of Tolkien's world that I also wish we could see explored more often. Wonderful descriptions - even though we don't know the facts behind the mariner's journey (and "landing"), we get just enough detail to bring our sympathy into play, to understand his specific situation.

The ending leaves me thinking that there is always hope, but you should be looking for it in the right direction! Deliverance for him, not just from this fate, but maybe now also from his "rash and reckless" goal? I really enjoyed pondering his future beyond the end of this drabble, and if this experience turned into more substantial pursuits.Smile

A Cat In King Elessar's Court
Ch. 10: Daggers

This is a very sad scene; you skillfully follow it with the Cat. Yes, I wish humans would sometimes see as cats see!

Ch. 9: Saved

Thanks, Kitt and Surgical Steel, for your kind words. The Cat is clearly aware of the dangers present with Nazgul.
