This tale of Aragorn begins when Gilraen brings her son to Rivendell after the death of Arathorn. There he grows up hoping he is the son of Lord Elrond. He meets his first hobbit, goes on his first orc hunt, and tries to balance being just a boy among all those great elf-lords. A note on Elvish I have put translations of the Sindarin/Quenya I've used at the end of the final chapter of the story.
