A little girl named Acacia makes a wish and finds what she's always wanted, only to realize she'd had it all along. And no, this isn't a self-insertion, as I am neither neglected nor a child. And to my understanding of Mary Sue, it is not that, either.

A very short and quickly-written piece that plays with what seems one of the most common themes in LOTR fanfic.

Yes, it's a Mary Sue spoof. I hope you like it, but if you don't, I won't be offended.

8. Fellowship of the Mutants

Series of short stories that explore how the story might have been different if certain characters had the powers of Marvel characters. I know, sounds silly, but just give it a chance. These don't follow, really, because they couldn't all happen in the same universe. Obviously, they're AU, as well. There's also some OOCness in some of them, but that's because I blend the character's personalities a bit sometimes, too.

9. Disturbing Twist of Fate, A

Era: 3rd Age - The Stewards   Genre: Humor  Completion: Complete
Jane and Suzie find themselves in Middle Earth, but it's not exactly what they expected. Set in Moria (just in case you can't tell from the story). I'm not certain of the timeframe and it may be AU, anyway. Sort of dark humor and/or angst. I'm not certain.

10. Musicals Gone LOTR
Author: Samus
Last Updated: 02/17/04  Original Post: 02/06/04
Status: General  Rating: General  Chapters: 6  Word Count: 2,249
Era: 3rd Age - Ring War   Genre: Poetry  Completion: Complete
Series of songs from musicals changed to be sung by LOTR characters. Some are serious, some are silly and OOC. It's fairly obvious which is which. The tunes I wrote these to and even some (but not too many) of the words aren't mine.

Ch. 40: Questions

Dear Nath, I just noticed another chapter of your great AU fic and enjoyed it thoroughly. You have Bilbo just right, and begrudgingly, you also have Gandalf spot on. I increasingly admire your Arwen and of course she is so much more flesh and blood and active than the original. Wonderful forshadowing, and perfect move to have the Grey Wanderer take to the roads before seeking the advice he thought he was looking for... once he found his real purpose in remaining on this shore. Excellent! Write faster, plz!

General Comment

Great story, Nuredhel! I really like the job you did with character development, especially concerning Thranduil. It's smooth and realistic. You also did a good job of portraying the intrigue and duplicity of Thranduil's court. Some of the language didn't seem very elvish but otherwise I think you did a great job of depicting the elves. Glad you're writing a sequel!! Wink

I love love love the style and tone of this story! Smile I think you do a good job of portraying the "real" Eowyn the way she would have been if she had not changed and married Faramir. I like the dialoge and how you portray their emotions.
