1 Since Tar-Amandil's father Vardamir is counted as the second king, he is deemed to have ruled for one year despite passing the sceptre directly to his son:
The figure of 148 (rather than 147) must represent the years of Tar-Amandil's actual rule, and not take the notional year of Vardamir's reign into account.
