Location: The wooded highlands to the west of the river Narog above Nargothrond.

Description:

Narog came through these hills in a deep gorge, and flowed over rapids that had no fall, and on its western bank the land rose into the great wooded highlands of Taur-en-Faroth.

Beren... climbed the hills above the Falls of Sirion.... Thence he looked westward, and... saw Talath Dirnen, the Guarded Plain, stretching between Sirion and Narog; and beyond he descried afar the highlands of Taur-en-Faroth that rose above Nargothrond.
